Winsor & Newton General Purpose Varnish offer the benefits of a varnish with the added convenience of an aerosol spray. All Winsor & Newton spray varnishes can be used on oil, alkyd, Artisan or acrylic paintings, however, all are designed with specific types of material in mind. General Purpose Gloss Varnish – is ideal for paper, wood, metal and modelling materials. It protects work from dust and moisture. Removable with white/mineral spirit or turpentine. Also suitable for use with oil, alkyd and acrylic paint. High gloss finish. General Purpose Matt Varnish – is ideal for paper, wood, metal and modelling materials. It protects work from dust and moisture. Removable with white/mineral spirit or turpentine. Also suitable for use with oil, alkyd and acrylic paint. Matt finish.
