Valvoline SAE 85W-140 High Performance Conventional Gear Oil is the thermally stabile extreme pressure gear lubricant that offers outstanding protection for gearboxes and differentials in passenger cars, light trucks, sport utility vehicles, vans and heavy-duty trucks. Combined with premium quality basestocks, our sulfur-phosphorus formulas superior additives help reliably safeguard against severe temperatures, shock loads, foaming, scuffing, scouring, corrosion and pitting. Available in 1-quart-size bottles with a handy nozzle designed to get into tight spaces, it can be used in all non-synchronized manual transmissions where GL-4 is specified and hypoid differentials where GL-5 is specified. Its recommended for conventional rear axles and transmissions requiring EP gear lubes under high speed, high load, high torque and high horsepower conditions.
