Its feed-thru wiring configuration allows the GFCI to protect downstream receptacles and it prevents line-load reversal mis-wire, so no power goes to the face or downstream receptacles if wired incorrectly. Back and side wire terminals offer installation flexibility. This GFCI outlet also features tamper-resistant outlets, now with black invisi-shutters for an invisible effect preferred by end users, making it safer and more effective than plastic outlet caps. The energy efficient LED night light automatically turns on when it’s dark and off in the daylight and offers an average life expectancy of 20 years.
