While on the water, you can use these for spot lights, aerators, cell phone chargers, and other 12-volt accessories. These clips help save those outlets through their direct connection to your battery. Overloading your vehicle’s cigarette lighters can be dangerous, especially when the device requires a lot of power. Classically color coded, the red clamp is positive and the black is negative.
