The DMT Knife Sharpening Guide can be used with any type of bench stone to provide a consistent bevel angle. Keeping a consistent bevel angle is absolutely critical if you re trying to achieve a truly sharp knife edge. To use this sharpening guide, just clamp the knife and fine-tune the bevel angle adjusters to the proper angle. Once you ve set up your angles the sharpening guide will keep your knife at the proper angle to the stone. There are seven settings on the Sharpening Guide. The angle you need will depend on the knife you are using, the height of the stone, and the setting you choose. With the seven settings you will have more than enough options to sharpen your knife at the proper angle. Made in the USA.
