This Oetiker 18500060 StepLess one-ear clamp kit contains stainless steel StepLess one-ear clamps and a pair of standard jaw pincers for clamping hose clamps in a variety of diameters. The dimple or indentation on the ear of the clamp increases the clamping force for a more secure hold, and the mechanical interlock of this clamp keeps it securely closed and provides better corrosion resistance than a spot-weld, which is vulnerable to corrosion. The ear clamps are stainless steel for resisting scaling and corrosion for at least 1000 hours of exposure to salt spray in compliance with Deutsches Institut fr Normung-English International Organization for Standardization (DIN EN ISO) standard 9227.
