It allows the natural color to show through. It’s highly desirable for antique restoration. It has a wonderful clarity and depth of shine. It will produce one of the most beautiful finishes in woodworking. Instructions and useful hints are included with each order. Different colors of shellac can be layered to provide various shades on the finished product. This shade looks especially good on oak, fir, mahogany or other medium exotic hardwoods. Shellac also works well with stains, dyes, varnishes, and other coatings such as Waterlox or Polyurethane.
