- The more critical the torque requirement, the more accurate the wrench should be (electronic torque wrenches are more accurate).
- The “sweet spot” of a torque wrench is between 40% and 80% of the maximum scale. For a 250ft lb. wrench, this would be between 100 and 200ft lbs.
- Avoid using a wrench that will be used at the bottom of the scale and also at the top of the scale.
