The rear-grip variable-speed thumb wheel on the Porter-Cable 6-inch variable-speed random orbit sander provides convenient, on-the-fly speed control. The sanding pad attaches to a spindle with 5/16-24 threading and accepts PSA discs. The Porter-Cable right-angle random orbit sander has a polishing pad that attaches to the spindle with a spacer that lets the pad move freely. The sander has excellent balance. The Porter-Cable electric random orbit sander is compact, has generous palm-pressure placement and comes with a handle that attaches to either side of the housing at a 90-degree angle.
