These areas contain multiple layers of micro-sized monocrystalline diamonds and a unique sharpening exterior with an overlapping oval hole design. This innovation speeds sharpening by collecting and holding the metal filings that ordinarily build up during the honing process. Each stone has a micro-tool sharpening pad and a similar groove for fish hooks or pointed implements. Use the Smith’s sharpener to put an edge on scissor blades. A molded eyelet at the base of the handle permits attaching a lanyard or clip to carry the Smith’s diamond sharpener easily wherever you need it. The soft grip rubber handle is designed to make whetting safe and easy, fitting comfortably in your hand while you work. When not in use, the stones can be stored in the handle for safekeeping.
