On all axes the wood is split the blade of the axe but since the blades on axes are so thin the axe gets stuck in the wood consistently. But with EasyGo Chopper Axe the blade begins the splitting and then (2) spring activated levers force outward to split the wood. The levers are activated by the force of the axe moving downward and when striking the wood the levers activate. This results in explosive wood splitting. HEAVY DUTY – This axe was designed with great care and high quality materials. Cast Iron head is solid and will last for many years. Hickory handle is ergonomically shaped for maximum power. Spring levers are securely mounted and reset on their own. Use like a regular chopping axe.
