One thats able to both illuminate closer holds with a wide, evenly dispersed light at 300 lumens, and shoot a more targeted beam for spotting anchors and searching for trails at 375. Or as Black Diamonds labeled these options, Climbing Mode and Route-Finder Mode, both of which can be toggled with Dual PowerTap technology built into the Onsights right and left side. Whichever mode you choose, youll have an easy-to-use tool on hand thatll not just provide light but weather water and dust with its submersible IP67 waterproof construction. This headlamp can be powered either with AAA batteries or with Balck Diamonds rechargeable BD 1800 Li-ion battery. The construction is such that climbers are able to get right up against the wall thanks to ultra-thin front housing and extra articulation. And of course, the Onsight works just fine for hiking and camping as well.
